What is the AAODLC?
Dental Expert Legal Consultants - Forensic Odontologists - Independent Medical Examininers of Dentistry
The American Association of Dental Legal Consultants (AAODLC.Org, Inc.) is a Professional Honorary Society. We are Legal Experts with extensive experience in the fields of Dentistry, Forensic Odontology, Forensic Accounting, Document Analysis, and Academic Sciences as they relate to Dentistry.
Our members act behind the scenes in support of Lawyers, Legal Proceedings, or serve as Expert Witnesses for Depositions and Courts of Law. Our members are independent and autonomous, but join together in this association for the ideal of ethical and professional review.
Why Were We Created?
AAODLC.Org was created to improve the quality of Dental Expert Consultants for the Legal Profession, and to assist members in becoming better at what they do. It is our goal to rid the system of so called un-ethical and ineffective "Hired Guns," by providing the public with a reliable Dental Legal Consultant Certification Program.
As an honorary society, we do so on behalf of the public good.
It is also our intention to provide members who can be trusted to provide concise, effective, and critical information when needed.
We intend to accomplish this mission through Member Education, Promoting a Code of Conduct/Standards, Self Government through Peer Review, and a by providing a Platform from which we may share these ideals.
Special Note: “Dental Legal Consultants” are not the same as "Dental Consultants." Dental Consultants generally work as insurance Claim Reviewers or as Advisors in the proper administration of Dental Practices. Dental Legal Consultants rather are made up of Experts in Dentistry, Forensics, Biomedical Engineering, Anthropology, Document Analysis, Forensic Accounting, and other Sciences. They are Specialist in their field whose extensive experience allows them to act as Experts in Legal Consulting.

Interested in Membership ?If you feel that your credentials can be of use in Dental Consulting Law then we encourage you to join us. We need members of good character, who are willing to contribute input. Help us to develop our own “Standard of Care” in Dental Legal Consulting and Dental Expert Witnessing! There is great responsibility in being a good Expert Consultant. Although our testimony must be based upon facts, it is quite apparent that we are in fact the final line of professional peer review. It therefore is imperative that we set the standards, and perfect the systems by which we make our decisions as Expert Consultants.
