Board of Directors

The Board of Directors presently serve as follow:

Wayne J Yee, D.D.S.

President and Founder: (212) 734-7508
New York, NY 10065

Dr. Wayne J. Yee had a keen interest in research and education early in his career. Even before receiving his BA in Experimental Psychology, Dr. Yee co-authored his first research paper which was published in the June 1983 issue of the Journal of the American Dental Association. His inspiration to enter the field of Forensic Odontology occurred in 1986 while studying at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  There he learned of “Dental Expert Witnessing” as a student under the guidance of Dr. L. T. Johnson.  Dr. Johnson’s lectures featured Dental Forensic work on the Jeffery Dahmer Cases. Dr. Johnson was Special Assistant to the Milwaukee County Coroner at the time, and had extensive knowledge of the case.  This early exposure to Forensics and the powerful impact of Expert Witness testimony lead to Dr. Yee’s efforts in becoming a Dental Legal Consultant.

In August of 1992 Dr. Yee was asked by the adminsitration  to form a Student Ethics Committee for the purposes of peer review.  The groundwork, and foundations of AAODLC.org were first laid while writing the constitution for this committee.  During the Committees short existence, hearings were held, and due process applied until it curtailed questionable practices of the students. Upon graduation Dr. Yee moved back to New York City for his General Practice Residency at New York Medical College (Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center Campus). In the following year Dr. Yee completed a Fellowship Certification in Dental Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Yee obtained extensive training in presentation and teaching during his 8 years as an Officer in the U.S. Army.  As a Headquarters Company Commander (Captain) Yee came to understand that proper administration of due process can only be applied based upon the facts as they were presented. It is this point among others that motivated him to create AAODLC.  Dr. Yee is presently in Private Practice and works as an Independent Dental Legal Consultant in New York City. He also teaches at Columbia University as a Facilitator in the Dental Ethics Program, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Junior and Senior Dental Students.
