How to get AAODLC.Org Certified:
The program is composed of Three Parts. The first two parts are dedicated to General Associate full status membership.
Part I requires six (6) months of Associate Membership, with 20 Credits of Category I course work, and 10 Credits of Category II course work. Course work must be completed with AAODLC.Org Approved Providers to give you with the Knowledge Base needed to practice Basic Dental Legal Consulting Skills.
Part II requires completion of a formal on-line Certification Examination with a minimal score of 85%. Members are only allow to take the test after completion of all coursework.
Certification by Credentials Only (Honorary Society Member Exemption): The Third Part is reserved exclusively to members that we consider “Grandfathered” into the Dental Legal Consulting profession. It is an exclusive privilege based upon nomination of other members, and is not open to General Membership.
These are members who are exempt from course work and testing because these are the folks who basically “wrote the book on the subject.” Such individuals are at our highest level of membership. They are considered Members of the AAODLC Honorary Society for Life. AAODLC Honorary Society members may only be removed by majority vote.
Honorary Society Members have already demonstrated their dedication to our ideals -- either by Extensive Experience, Research, Publications, or by Merit and demonstrated Public Service.
Part III – Requirements for AAODLC.org Certification by Credentials Only: To qualify for Part III, (Certification by Credentials Only) you must have the following on file with the Association:
1) Membership Status Posting: You must be listed on our Website as an Approved AAODLC.org Honorary Society Member. Any one can be nominated to Honorary Society Member status by any member of the Association via the Membership Voting Booth. This is a peer review process, therefore another member must 2nd the nomination. Formal acceptance of the nomination is determined by a majority of Member Votes and/or Board Approval.
Final Approval is based upon verification of credentials, integrity on nominee, and contributions to the Dental Legal Consulting profession.
2) The member will be advised o0f the nomination and my chose to accept or decline AAODLC.Org Honorary Society Status.
3) CV Submission: You must have a current Curriculum Vitae (CV) on file with the Association. Please submit one with your written request.
4) Agree to Public Record Verification of your Credentials: Your Honorary Society Membership must be in Good Standing with no filed Public complaints deemed to be outside the standards of the Board of Directors, or Association Peer Review Committee.
