How to submit an Article for Publication…

1. For the most economic and efficient use of AAODLC’s resources the Journal’s content will be Published as a “web based” document.  This will not only benefit environment concerns but also allow urgent updates between bi-annual publications. Publication deadlines are January 1 for issue on February 21st, and June 1st for issue on July 21st.
2. Submissions that are accepted for publication will be awarded with 2 years of credit towards annual membership dues, and eligibility to apply for the AAODLC Dental Legal Consultant Certification.  Credit maybe accumulated and does not expire.
3.  Topics may include, but are not limited to:  How-to-Articles pertinent to Dental Legal Consultants, Legal Education, Recent Updates with narratives on its affect in our Profession, Commentaries/Editorials, Scientific Research papers (Awarded with a extra 3 year bonus for a total of 6 years credit towards Membership), Case Studies, Course or Book Reviews, etc.
4. Articles are subject to peer review, and may or may not be accepted for publication. Articles that contain incorrect, or questionable information maybe be noted as such or maybe removed from Publication in the Journal.
5. The author retains copyrights to the Article but agrees to it’s use in the Journal of the Dental Expert Witness; or to be quoted by others for educational purposes.
6. Articles must be edited and in “ready to print” format. They must also be submitted by e-mail (As text in an e-mail, MS Word Document, neatly Scanned Image, or PDF file). Photos if included must be submitted with zip files under 1 meg of memory, and via e-mail in the following formats: .jpg, tiff, gif
7. Please include a brief cover letter that provides your Business Address, and work, home, or cellular phone number. You do not have to be a member to submit an article although if approved you will have credit towards membership.
8. A Curriculum Vitae (CV Preferred), Resume, or Short Outline of your educational experience is also required if not already on file with the Association.
